Community Futures Lambton has announced $40,000 in grant funding for community economic development projects across Lambton County for the 2025/2026 fiscal year. The grants, ranging from $500 to $5,000, are available to charitable organizations, registered charities, non-profit corporations, accredited service clubs, social service organizations, and recognized educational institutions to support local initiatives aimed at enhancing community growth.
Eligible projects include youth initiatives, tourism promotion, volunteer development, social and cultural events, as well as activities focused on innovation, technology, skills development, education, and training. Projects must occur between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026.
“A key mandate of our organization as articulated by our funder, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) is to invest in and collaborate with community partners and organizations to support initiatives that drive economic growth,” said Sarah Reaume, CEO of Community Futures Lambton.
Applications for the grant program will open on March 1, 2025, and close on March 31, 2025. Successful applicants will be announced on April 14, 2025. Applicants must submit a project summary detailing deliverables, key tasks, timelines, and a budget. Additionally, grant recipients are required to submit a final report and provide receipts to verify the use of grant funds. Recipients must also acknowledge Community Futures Lambton as a project funder.
Community Futures Lambton has been supporting local businesses since 1988 through funding and business coaching services. To date, the organization has provided nearly $50 million in loans to small and medium-sized businesses in Lambton County, contributing to the creation or maintenance of more than 10,000 jobs.
