Members of Sarnia’s downtown community are invited to a ‘Community Conversation’ event regarding the future of the Victoria Street parking lot.

“The The City of Sarnia is working on designating a portion of the Victoria St. parking lot for affordable housing, through the County of Lambton,” reads a notice send on behalf of the event’s organizers, Brian Austin, Leonard Segall, and John DeGroot. “The goal is to discuss the value of the lot and its uses for the community."

Last month, city council agreed to declare the downtown parking lot surplus and gift it to Lambton County for affordable housing.

The discussion will be held Monday, Aug. 21, at the Imperial Theatre, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
