On October 26, 2024, from 7 PM to 11 PM, guests will be transported into a world of horror at the Lochiel Kiwanis Centre featuring three distinct, psychologically immersive scare experiences, with all proceeds supporting the Mastermind Youth Foundation’s mission to empower youth in the Lambton-Kent region.

What makes this event truly special is that it is entirely planned, designed, and executed by young participants of the Mastermind Youth Foundation. From the concept of the scare rooms to the costumes, acting, and special effects, these kids have taken on the challenge of creating a terrifying yet unforgettable experience. As engineer and co-founder Jacques Villeneuve explains, “The kids are in charge of everything. They’re hiring the actors, designing the sets, and developing the entire production. We’re just here to guide them if they need it.”

The Carnival of Chaos promises to deliver heart-pounding excitement with its three immersive experiences: The Hellish Halls, The Savaging, and The Elevator of Fate. Each room is designed to push guests to their limits, creating an environment where fear and excitement collide. The children behind these experiences have crafted intricate storylines and creative visuals that are sure to leave a lasting impression on everyone who dares to enter.

The event’s competitive edge adds to the thrill, as visitors will have the chance to rate each scare room, helping the young creators learn what worked and what didn’t. “We like to do things in a competition format,” says Villeneuve. “The kids get to see which of their creations has the biggest impact and how they can improve. It’s all about learning through experience.”

But beyond the fright and fun, the Carnival of Chaos serves a much greater purpose. All proceeds from the event will go directly back into the Mastermind Youth Foundation’s programs, supporting initiatives like the FIRST® LEGO® League robotics teams and the revitalization of STEM programs in the region. Every ticket sold helps foster the growth and development of young minds, ensuring that children from all backgrounds have access to hands-on learning and leadership opportunities.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, with all funds supporting their non-profit programming.

Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just looking to support an amazing cause, the Carnival of Chaos is the place to be this Halloween season. With the dedication and creativity of the youth at its core, this event promises to be both terrifying and inspiring—a perfect combination for a night you won’t forget.

Get your tickets now, and prepare to be scared for a good cause!
