The student Builders Club of London Road Public School completed its year with a donation of
just over $400 to the Sarnia & District Humane Society.
The club members raised the funds through sales of popcorn and pasta at the school, and
collectively decided they would like to help the animals at the Humane Society shelter.
Nicole King, Operations Manager at the Humane Society, attended the club’s final meeting to
receive the cheque. Nicole said that the donation would be used to purchase veterinary supplies and pet food.
The Builders Club at London Road School is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K. Builders Club for Grade 7-8 students is a global, student-led organization that provides members with learning and experience to build character, contribute through service and develop leadership.
