St. Paul's Anglican Church Point Edward (St. Paul’s) recently participated in the village-wide Garage Sale Day, conducting a garage sale which raised a total of $1,000. In an act of outreach and community service, the proceeds were donated directly to the Sexual Assault Survivors' Centre Sarnia-Lambton (SASCSL).
Representatives from St. Paul's, Sheila Carrick-Langford and Sheila McBeth presented the cheque to Sarah Braun and Miranda Healy from the SASCSL.
St. Paul's, in keeping with its longstanding commitment to community support, often undertakes initiatives to raise funds and awareness for local organizations. The successful garage sale, organized by volunteers, is a testament to the church's commitment to the well-being of the community it serves and its dedication to make a difference.
SASCSL is a leading organization in the region, providing support for victims of sexual assault and abuse, and working towards the prevention and elimination of sexual violence and oppression. They offer a range of vital services and resources, and this donation will assist them in continuing their invaluable work in the Sarnia community.
