The Kiwanis Club of Sarnia-Lambton Golden K Club has donated $4,000 to the Inn of the Good Shepherd's Back to School Backpack program.

Club member Tony Wheeler presented a cheque to the Inn's program director Adrienne McPhee at Tuesday's meeting.

On top of their financial contribution, Golden K club members will  be on hand to help assemble the backpacks, which are stuffed with school supplies.

The Inn is preparing to provide about 850 backpacks to students who need them this fall.
