Another successful year for Lambton Literacy’s Give-a-Book campaign

Lambton Literacy’s holiday Give-a-Book campaign finished strong with with 3,786 new books delivered this year.

Each year, the agency partners with community groups to collect hundreds of books to ensure  local youngsters — from babies, to age 18 — can “experience the joy of unwrapping a new book.”

“This year’s results almost mirror last year’s record-breaking campaign — 3,787 new books through 34 partners,” the group said in a media release, pointing to many private donors as well as funders including the Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland, Optimist Club of Sarnia Lakeshore, the Sarnia Elks Lodge 503, ARLANXEO, and the I.O.D.E. Errol Egremont chapter.

“We would also like to recognize the teams at The Book Keeper and Coles in Lambton Mall for

their dedication to promoting this Sarnia-Lambton holiday tradition.”
