On January 13, 2025, the Wolf Moon, the first full moon of the year, illuminated the skies over Sarnia. The name “Wolf Moon” originates from traditional associations with wolves, which were once native to this region.
The moon reached its peak at 5:27 p.m. EST, and despite a cloudy evening, breaks in the cover allowed for clear views.
For those who caught a glimpse, it was a chance to reflect on the interconnectedness of the Earth and sky, as well as the wildlife that has called this region home.
