Sarnia’s Bluewater BorderFest crowds about to rock the city

Bluewater BorderFest, the three-day summer music festival, is set to kick off June 20 and runs until June 22.

Opening night is jam-packed with an “I love the 90s” lineup consisting of Vanilla Ice, Color Me Badd, Young MC and C+C Music Factory.

The lineup on June 21 features Bush, Skillet, Saint Asonia and Born Riot. 

Performers billed to close out the 8th annual BorderFest Saturday evening are; Our Lady Peace, Scott Stapp of Creed, Finger Eleven and I Mother Earth. 

People coming to Sarnia for this event will add at least 10,000 visitors to the city over the weekend, according to the executive director of Tourism Sarnia-Lambton, Mark Perrin.

“With more than [half] of all the event patrons coming from out of town, the local business community can get ready to see visitors and the economic benefits it brings to the area,” Perrin said.   

Fans scooping up Bluewater BorderFest tickets outside of Lambton-County include almost all provinces from BC to Newfoundland and international buyers from California, Illinois, South and North Carolina, Oklahoma, Indiana and Michigan, among other States and even the United Kingdom and Spain.

Event Reminders

- This is an all ages event. Alcohol is available to purchase for patrons 19+ with valid I.D. 

- Large backpacks are not permitted. Small bags/fanny packs are allowed. All bags will be searched by security before you enter. 

- You are allowed to bring your own umbrellas, lawn chairs and/or blankets into general admission. 

- You are allowed to bring in your own sealed (never opened) water bottles. It will be hot. Plan to stay hydrated. 

- It's a cash-only event. Limited ATM’s on site. No debit or credit available. 

- Food, drink and shopping vendors on site. 

- Plan ahead for parking.
