Two more large-scale solar energy projects are proposed for St. Clair Township.
A public meeting was held in Corunna last week for BlueEarth Renewables Inc., which wants install arrays of solar panels on both sides of Highway 40, between LaSalle Line and Petrolia Line
The 13-megawatt operation would be located on land owned by Pembina Pipeline.
Meanwhile, Ontario Power Generation hopes to build and operate a 30 MW solar project at the site of the former coal-burning Lambton Generating Station.
If approved, the panels would be set up at the north end of the property and on the area of the former coal pile.
The first public meeting for that proposal was held in Courtright in June.
