Sarnia says the municipal compost site will reopen on Monday.

Residents can drop off yard waste, grass clippings and brush for free, with the usual brush drop-off fee being temporarily waived, City Hall said.

However, residents are encouraged to use the curbside brush collection scheduled the week of May 18.

The facility at 379 St. Andrew St. will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday, and closed Saturdays until further notice.

Residents dropping off material should expect possible delays because of limited access at the gates.

The sale of mulch, wood chips, and compost to the public has been temporarily suspended.  A new payment system is being developed and details will be announced shortly, the city said.
