For a second year in a row the Nightingale Chorus is taking to the streets.
A large choral group has come together to sing Christmas songs outdoors and at select locations this holiday season. This marks the 26th year of the Nightingale Chorus, a normally on-stage event cancelled again by the pandemic.
The singers are performing at area nursing and long-term care homes, Bluewater Health, and neighborhoods throughout Sarnia-Lambton, said the Bluewater Health Foundation, which has partnered with founder Carrie Beauchamp on “The Christmas Ribbon” project.
Residents and front-line workers can view and hear the chorus from windows and patios, with locations announced last minute to avoid large crowds gathering.
A Facebook group is sharing live streaming of performances at www.facebook.com/groups/3201175729994510 or found by searching ‘The Christmas Ribbon.’
Donations made online at www.justgiving.com/campaign/christmasribbon2021 will support the Access Open Minds youth mental health initiative.
