Stolen motorcycle recovered

On Tuesday July 23, 2024 at 8:30pm, members of the Sarnia Police Service were on general patrol in the area of Maxwell Street and Napier Street, when officers observed a male operating an unplated motorcycle.  A traffic stop was conducted and upon further investigation, it was learned that the motorcycle was stolen from the Chatham-Kent Region. 

The suspect was subsequently arrested, and transported to Sarnia Police Headquarters where he was held for bail.  As a result of the investigation, a 19 year old from Sarnia has been charged with :

-Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over 5000 

-Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence Plates

-Drive Motor Vehicle Improper Licence

-Novice Driver Fail to Surrender Licence

-Class G1 Licence Holder Unaccompanied by Qualified Driver

-Drive Motor Vehicle No Valid Permit

-Drive Motor Vehicle No Mirrors

-Fail To Have Insurance Card
