The Bridge Patisserie & Cafe: A Coffee Lovers Dream in Point Edward

A stone’s throw away from the Bluewater Bridge at 132 Michigan Ave, The Bridge Patisserie & Cafe is a brand-new spot that promises a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this place is something special. The interior is absolutely Instagram-worthy, with a grassy leaf wall that adds a fresh touch and beautiful displays of baked goods that tempt you to try everything.

Our adventure began with the macarons, which were a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Unlike the basic, dusty macarons from the grocery store, these were perfect. The green mango macaron was tart and delightful, and the coffee one was just as good. The texture was spot-on: crisp on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. They were almost too pretty to eat, but we couldn't resist.

Next up were the croissant sandwiches, and let me tell you, these were the best croissants we've had in a long time. The croissants were perfectly flaky and buttery, making the sandwiches irresistible. We tried the Creamy Spinach Chicken croissant, which was lovely, and the Italian Pesto croissant, which was also delicious. The real star of these sandwiches was the croissant itself, making a simple sandwich a delightful experience.

We couldn't resist the Coraline Tart, which looked like a piece of edible art. Decorated with edible gold glitter and a custom stamp on the chocolate, it was almost too cute to eat. This tart, made with pistachio, raspberries, and vanilla ganache, was a delightful mix of flavours and textures. It was both beautiful and delicious, a real treat.

The creme brûlée was another highlight. It was rich, smooth, thick, and creamy, although it did lack the classic crack on top. Despite this, the Creme de Leche flavour was simply divine, making it a delightful indulgence.

Our visit wouldn't have been complete without trying the coffee. As a coffee lover, the French Vanilla cappuccino was the highlight of my experience. It was the perfect blend of rich coffee and sweet vanilla, and I was absolutely loving it. My date, on the other hand, had a hilarious experience with the Caramel Macchiato. Despite my stern warning that it was a small potent espresso with a dash of milk and probably not appropriate for 8pm, he insisted on ordering it, expecting a large Starbucks-style drink. He ended up having his meal and all the treats with just a very tiny drink because he couldn't swallow his pride about not knowing what a macchiato was. Nonetheless, it was delicious, and we both had a good laugh about it.

The ambience at The Bridge Patisserie & Cafe is fantastic. Owned by two Brazilian sisters who are just as lovely as their cafe, the service was warm and friendly. One of the sisters took the time to explain everything to us, adding a personal touch to our visit. Even their father helps a hand around the kitchen!

If you're in the mood for a delightful sweet-treat experience, The Bridge Patisserie & Cafe is a must-visit. The food is exceptional, the coffee is top tier, and the atmosphere is welcoming. Whether you're looking for a quick bite, a place to relax with a cup of joe, or a brilliant food photograph, this cafe has it all. We can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious baked goods!"
