The Cox Youth Centre pool and splash pad have proven a popular outlet for children.

More than 3,000 visitors have used the Tecumseh Park facility since it opened Aug. 1, with an average of about 150 participants a day, City Hall said.

The pool, with free admission, remains open until Aug. 30.

The maximum allowed for each swim session is 75, including lifeguard staff, parents and guardians.

The pool and splash pad are open for 90-minute blocks from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends. Staff undertake several 30-minute cleaning sessions each day, the city said.
