It is a fundamental and crucial human need for our overall well being to be connected in community. Community exists in your local community to support slowing down, becoming more present and feeling a true sense of belonging and meaningful connection to yourself and one another through breathwork.

“Breathing together in community, sharing space and hearing the stories of others, I have witnessed the beauty in vulnerability and am a lot more comfortable using my own voice both in these spaces and out in the world,” says Katie Bebingh of Forest. Bebingh began her journey in breathwork two years ago to support her own transformation, and has since shown up in many community breathwork experiences and healing retreats.

“Holding space for one another in these spaces fosters deep connection and support in the safest community where everything belongs and all parts are welcome,” says Bebingh. “I now know that I'm not alone in a world that can sometimes feel so lonely.”

Loneliness is a feeling of being isolated from meaningful connection, and we’ve never been more disconnected from ourselves and from one another, so much that it is more than an individual feeling, but a wide-spread epidemic across North America.

A community that feels safe and present creates deep relationships and support for healing and growth. Gathering through breathwork connects us to self, others and to something larger than self.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a safe and proven method of using the breath as an access point to the subconscious to reach and release repressed physical, mental and emotional stress, tension and trauma. Experiences range from deep physical relaxation, emotional peace, states of higher awareness and understanding and expanded spiritual awakenings.

“Choosing to open up and step into a journey of self-healing through breathwork has proven to be the most transformative path towards a stronger and healthier version of myself,” says Alicia Hardman, of Thedford who has been breathing in community and retreats since 2023. “I have discovered the courage to prioritize my own well being, and it has been life-altering and has greatly influenced my personal growth.”

Bebingh adds that because of breathwork and the community she has breathed with, her communication skills, confidence, and relationships are so much stronger.

“I used to live in a constant state of anxiety. It impacted every decision I made. I don’t live like that anymore. My nervous system is so much more peaceful and when I do feel anxious, I have so many tools, mostly the breath, that can help ease that for me.”

Humans are inherently social beings. Gathering to breathe and be in community reminds us how connected we really are. Your community exists. Belonging exists within community.
