With heavy hearts we announce that Aletta Aldis White (Johnson), a member of Walpole Island First Nations went peacefully to join to her daughter and her ancestors on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at the age of 59. Beloved wife of Arland White and loving mother of Cedric Johnson (Hilary), Ryan Johnson and the late Courtney Elaine Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Harmony and Melody. Daughter of the late Joseph & Verna Elaine Johnson and dear sister of Michele Day (Stafford), William Joseph Johnson, Judy Johnson Councilman, Lonnie Shipman (the late Ang) and the late Daniel Johnson, Clark Peters Sr. “Beezer” and Sonya Johnson. She will be greatly missed by her dear friend Norma Nahdee as well as her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Aletta loved her cats dearly and will be missed by them and by her dog. Community visitation will be held at the Walpole Island United Church beginning at 4pm Wednesday, November 6, 2024 until the time of her funeral service on Thursday, November 7 at 1pm. Burial will take place following at Highbanks Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231).
