Surrounded by her family at Bluewater Health on February 3, 2025, Annetta Elizabeth Watson unexpectedly passed away at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband Clinton Watson (2003). Proud mom of Jannette (Roy) Allen and Jennifer Watson. Loving grandma of Thomas, Eve, Brooke, and Taylor. Survived by her partner Jack Saunders. Also, survived by her brother John (Rose) Patterson. Predeceased by her parents Cliffe and Chrissy Patterson and her sister Fran McIntyre. 

Annetta was an avid and talented gardener.  With her green thumb and nurturing touch, she could breathe life back into even the most wilted indoor plants. A highly skilled crocheter, she generously crafted delicate doilies, practical pot holders, and intricate bookmarks, which she lovingly shared with her family and friends. A devoted fan of the Toronto Blue Jays, she never missed cheering for her team through highs and lows. Annetta cherished the memorable road trip adventures with Jack, often exploring the scenic landscapes of Canada, particularly throughout the East Coast visiting Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

Annetta dedicated 19 years of her life to volunteering with the North Lambton Community Health Centre, leaving a lasting impact on her community. Throughout her time there, she helped in creating and facilitating Senior Fitness classes in Arkona, providing a vital resource for local seniors to stay active and engaged. Annetta also ran the weekly Coffee Time Drop-In program, offering a welcoming space for community members to connect, build relationships and a sense of belonging. In addition, she volunteered with the Garden Fresh Box program, ensuring that seniors in Arkona had year-round access to affordable, fresh fruits and vegetables. Her unwavering commitment and passion for serving her community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Arkona Seniors Centre on Saturday February 8th from 12:30pm until 3:00pm. A private family funeral service will be held with interment at Arkona Cemetery prior to her celebration.

In memory of Annetta, donations may be made to North Lambton Community Health Centre’s Seniors Programming. Donations made by cheque in memory of Annetta may be mailed to 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy, ON N7G 1M6.
