It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jaqueline Ellen Waltham on October 3, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents John and Pat Dunn, in-laws Jean and Earl Waltham, beloved husband Richard Waltham, youngest daughter Chris McKinlay and Sister and Brother-in-law Gail (Howard) Pearce. She will be missed by so many, especially her daughter Debbie (Jamie) Taylor, son Rob (Lynn) Waltham, amazing grandma to Dana (Greg), Sarah (Dave), Kristie (Rod), the best great grandma to Tyler, Brayden, Brett (Kyla), Kurtis, Kennedy, Nash. She was always so proud of all those kids! Sister to Mike (Cheryl), Sally (Ralph), Marion (Dan), Penny. Jackie will also be missed by so many nieces, nephews, cousins and all her dear friends she made over the years. So many people knew Jackie from Northgate Bowl where she worked for many years. She was such a friendly face and loved chatting with everyone. She especially loved working with the Community Living bowling league over the years, where she made sure she had donuts for them for their year-end event each year. She was a friendly face at the clearwater ball diamonds for two pitch leagues where she coached and watched several generations of family and friends. She loved going to Bingo and watching the Legionnaires play. Her favorite time at the home was watching the Blue Jays and her favorite player Bo Bichette (wish they would have had a better year for her). She loved to talk about her favorite trips with Rick and their exciting adventures. She loved talking on the phone every day and spending time with her daughter Debbie going on their shopping trips to Giant Tiger and Dollarama, where she would spend more time buying stuff for others than herself. She looked forward to her visits from her son Rob and her Sunday night dinner at Debbie’s with all the grandkids. She never missed a party for anyone and was the frequent party planner at the home for her and her friends. She started a dice game for all the residents and loved to hand out chocolate bars to the staff (who called her grandma as well). Thank you to the staff at Sumac Lodge, a very special thank you to Tessa, Anne and Dianne for making Jackie’s stay a little bit better. She is so missed already but we know she has been reunited with the love of her life Rick and her youngest daughter Chris who will take care of her now until we all meet again. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held Sunday, October 27 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the Navy Club, 1420 Lougar Ave, Sarnia, Ontario. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home).
