It is with deeply saddened hearts that the family of Georgios Tsaprailis announces his passing on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Alexandra (Economou). Loving father of Maria (Harry) Patrinos, Stacey (Paul) Pozios and Jim (Pauline) Tsaprailis. Cherished grandfather of Teddy, Alexis, Alex, Kyria, Ioanna, George, Ally, Georgios and Christian. Dear brother of Nika and Paraskevi and the late Spiros and Kostas. Predeceased by his parents Athanasios and Maria Tsaprailis. Georgios immigrated from Greece in 1968 and married Alexandra on May 5, 1968. He started working at the Chipican Restaurant as a dishwasher before venturing into ownership with his two brothers-in-law. Georgios loved his daily walks, Greek TV and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1299 Murphy Rd., Sarnia, on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church or Bluewater Health - ICU (cheques only at the funeral home please).
