TAYLER, DOUGLAS JAMES “JIM”
April 22, 1954 - March 4, 2024. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Jim Tayler, who passed away at the age of 69, on Monday, March 4, 2024. Cherished husband of 46 years to Mary (nee Spurr). Predeceased by his son Joel and survived by his son Jake (Paula). He was the best “Gramps” to Dori, Van, Rylan and Tatum who meant the world to him. Jim is also survived by his mother-in-law Ruth, and in-laws Kathy, Alex, Tamara and Ian. Close friends Hayward and Gord. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Madge, his siblings John and Lori, his father-in-law Ike and close friends Randy, Colin, Mike, Gary and Roger. Jim retired from Lanxess in 2009. Until its sale in 2022, Jim also operated United Taxi (founded by his father). Jim will be remembered as a great friend to many. He loved to play guitar and was an avid car enthusiast. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their compassion and care.
