Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Terrence “Terry” James Symington passed away at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Carolyn Mayer. Loving father of Jeremy (Sarah) Symington and Amy Symington (Nathaniel Erskine-Smith). Cherished grandfather of Sean, Cade, Lizzie, and Leo Symington, and Mackinlay and Crawford Symington-Smith. Dear brother of Brian (Susan) Symington and Gayle (Robert) Siddall. Predeceased by his parents James and Helen Symington and his first wife Sharon Helps-Symington. Terry was a member of People’s Church and a member of the Wyoming Lions Club. He was a dedicated and loving family man, passionate farmer, renowned baseball player, artist, and a beautiful storyteller. He breathed life into every room and always left it laughing. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, the Sarnia & District Humane Society, or a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
