Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Gary Floyd Swift passed away at the age of 82. Treasured brother of Judy Swift. Predeceased by his parents William and Lona Swift. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Gary spent his life collecting John Wayne memorabilia, a hobby that became a central part of his identity. He was a hardworking individual and found joy in driving trucks and operating forklifts. Cremation has taken place. An open house celebrating Gary’s life will be held at Smith Family Centre, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health's Dialysis Unit or the Sarnia District Humane Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
