At Victoria Hospital in London on Thursday, October 3, 2024, James William Stevens, age 71 of Sarnia passed away. Jim was the loving husband of Sheila Stevens and the dear father of Paul, Colin and Fiona, grandfather of River and Ramona and brother of Joyce Mahovlich.

Jim loved people and was always ready for a conversation. He was never one to sit still and had several careers as a process operator, contractor, and teacher. The work ethic to take on these career changes was also instilled in his children. In his earlier years, he was a Scout leader, where he loved canoeing and the outdoors. He was also a loyal union supporter, coach, lover of storms with his children and grandchildren, as well as any and all Detroit teams. Jim and Sheila travelled as often as they could. They most enjoyed experiencing the warmth of the Caribbean, the people of Ireland and the wildness of the Portuguese coast. As an avid golfer, time spent on the course was never a bad day.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Jim’s life that will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St, Sarnia, ON, N7T 5W9 on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 at 11:00 am. Memories and messages of condolence may be sent through www.djrobb.on.ca.
