Shirley Spinks, 77 years, of Sarnia and formerly of Petrolia died peacefully with family by her side on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Bluewater Health, Sarnia. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Glen (2021). She is survived by her sons Allen (Laura) and Bob (Kathy), her granddaughter Shana (Eric) Flick, and her great grandson Noah and great granddaughter Naomi. She is also survived by her brother David Whitlock and a sister Colleen Zavitz and was predeceased by her parents Ken and Kathleen Whitlock and a brother Ken Whitlock. Shirley was the current President and a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 176 in Forest.
Visitors will be received on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel of the Needham-Jay Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wyoming Chapel, 650 Broadway St. Wyoming. The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 176 will conduct a service on Friday at 1:15 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to RCL Br. 176 Poppy Fund.
