Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Shirley Irene Snell of Sarnia, formerly of Seaforth, passed away at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of the late Keith Stanley Snell (2011). Loving mother of Steven (Janet) Snell of Sarnia, Kimberley (Dennis) Helm of London and Krista (Mike) Evely of Exeter. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Ellis and Kelly Helm (Jason). Treasured great-grandmother of Darrian, Bentley and Hailie. Dear sister of Bonnie Jean Segers of Sarnia and Karen Inglis of Earlton, and sister-in-law of Ron Evans of Forest and Jack Main of Forest. Shirley will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents John and Ruby Smith, in-laws Stan and Isla Snell, sister Phyllis Evans, aunt Irene (Bell) Minielly, sister-in-law Ruth Main, brother-in-law Brian Inglis, and nephew Jamie Inglis.
Shirley had a great love for music and singing, especially enjoying her time singing with the Seaforth Harmony Hi Lites. She enjoyed decorating, travelling, watching curling and was a wonderful cook and organizer.
A celebration of a life well lived, will be held in memory of Shirley at Camlachie United Church, 6784 Camlachie Rd, Camlachie, on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with family and friends being received one hour prior. Burial of ashes will take place at Beechwood Cemetery in Forest at a later date.
