At Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on March 6, 2025, Don Roberts, age 85 of Sarnia passed away following a sudden illness. Don was a retired stationary engineer with Imperial Oil, where he enjoyed a fulfilling career and developed many lifelong friendships. Beloved husband of Gayle Patricia (Ziniuk) Roberts (deceased Nov. 8, 2022). Much loved father of Scott and his wife Melinda, Cheryl Scollard Wilson and her husband Allan. Dearly admired and loved grandfather of Jason Roberts, Andrew Scollard and his wife Julie Goverde, Mark Roberts (Maddie), David Scollard, Michael Wilson (Rylee) and Matthew Wilson. Great Grandfather to Josephine Scollard. Predeceased by his parents Harry Alvin Roberts and Kathleen Roberts (Gunn), sisters, Jean Woolvett and Noreen Chapman. Predeceased by his in-laws Bill and Laura Ziniuk and brother-in-law, Russell Zenick. Don’s heart and love for his family was enormous. Throughout the years many family vacations, family gatherings and celebrations were the focal point of love and laughter. He was a devoted and loving husband, providing exceptional care throughout his 61 years of marriage to Gayle. He was the essence of reliability and loyalty, a true pillar of strength – forever willing to assist family, friends, neighbours, or a fellow committee member. He will be remembered for a life well lived. As an active Shriner, his unmeasurable commitment to support children and families in need, will greatly be missed. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for the delicate care and compassion the ICU team provided. A special thank you to RN, Elizabeth, forever grateful for you.
