With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Tammy Dawn Rivais, who departed this world on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at CEE Hospital of Bluewater Health in Petrolia, at the age of 64. Tammy, surrounded by her loving family, was welcomed into the hands of her late husband, Frederick Jennings. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Dawn (Cory) Nolan and Katie (Sean) Steenbergen. Her legacy lives on through her treasured grandchildren: Reilly, Ryan, and Rebecca Winter, and Nolan and Alia Steenbergen, as well as her great-grandson, Austin. Tammy's heart was an ever-warming presence for her family, and her spirit will continue to shine through them.

A devoted sister and cherished friend, Tammy is deeply missed by her best friends and sisters, Leeanne (Richard) Scott, Gail Fisher. Survived by her sisters, Janice McMillan, Donna Rivais, Bonnie Worsley, and Heather O’Connell. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernie and Evelyn Rivais, and her brother Donnie Rivais.

Tammy was a nurturing homemaker whose life revolved around making sure her family had everything they needed. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and love, and the door was always open with a warm meal. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether glamping with a Caesar in hand, thrifting, crafting, playing bingo with Lee, or indulging in the latest fashion trends.
Tammy's departure leaves a void that will be felt deeply by all who knew her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her radiant smile, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Though her presence will be sorely missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Butler, Dr. Kim, Dr. Lebert, the acute care team at CEE and all the caring nursing and support staff who helped ease mom’s cancer journey. A memorial service, celebrating the life of Tammy, will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Chapel of Needham-Jay Funeral Home 650 Broadway St. Wyoming with visitation beginning at 11:30. Interment of cremated remains to follow in Wyoming Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Bluewater Health Cancer Care Redevelopment (https://www.bwhf.ca/donate), or the C.E.E. Hospital Foundation (ceehf.ca)
