Peacefully, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Frank Joseph Riess passed away in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Carol (n. Coleman) Riess. Loving father of Jeff (Valerie) and James (Nicole). Cherished Papa of Avery and Declan. Predeceased by his parents Karl and Margaret Riess, and siblings, Karl, Theresia and Margaret. Frank worked 30 years as a Lab Tech at Suncor and loved to work with computers. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was an avid science fiction fan. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia at 2 pm, with family and friends being received one hour prior from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please).
