It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Paul Reid, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who departed this earthly realm after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, to Bessie Reid, Paul's journey through life was marked by resilience and an unwavering spirit of determination. In 1990, Paul married his soulmate, Joan, and together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and enduring memories. Paul is survived by his children, John (Mikki) Peters, Joy (Stan) Kita, Elizabeth (Bill) Barnet, Tammy (Kenny) Plumb, and Jason (Marilyn) Reid. Paul's legacy further blossomed with the arrival of his cherished grandchildren, Josh (Michela), Brianna (Armand), Lucas (Jessica), Maggie, Sydney, Rebecca, Austin, and Shelby, and his adored great-grandchildren, Amy and Juliette Bryce. Each of them added a unique sparkle to his eyes and joy to his heart.

Paul was a man of many virtues, deeply admired for his strength, work ethic, and unique perspective on life that always inspired laughter and shared stories of resilience. He was a man who found happiness in the garage tinkering with cars, spending time with good friends, and staying busy with restoration projects. He was a man of many talents.

A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held on Friday, May 3rd, at 2:00 pm, at Sarnia Missionary Church, 707 Talfourd St. Sarnia, where friends and family will gather to honour his memory. Paul fought the good fight, right to the very end. His cancer diagnosis ignited the inner strength that had always carried him through life's previous difficulties.
