Bernice Mary Rade (nee Dudzic) died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Sunday evening. Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her sons Gerald Joseph Rade, James Paul Rade, Christopher John Rade and their families.

Bernice served as Deputy Reeve of Sarnia Township before it amalgamated with the City of Sarnia, and later served as an Alderman on Sarnia City Council. Bernice also wrote a regular column for the Sarnia Gazette. She was always ready to fight for those who needed a champion and never gave up on a cause.  She will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia from 6-8pm on Friday, June 14th. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Church on Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 a.m. followed by Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 106 East St., Sarnia, N7T 3R1.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
