Surrounded by family on February 18, 2025, at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of the late John Wayne Moore (1999). Loving and devoted mother to Darryl (Laurie) Moore, Jodie (Randy) Lebert, and Liane Strachan. Proud Gramma to Shantel (Jeremy) Norland and their son Barrett, Noah Moore, Cassandra Moore, and Josh Moore, Shelby Dew, Brienne and Clover Strachan. Helen will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters-in-law Susan (Dan) Rice and Gale Phibbs, and Joanne Moore. Predeceased by her parents Glen and Edna Sanders, siblings: Jerry (June) Sanders, Irene (Don) Hunter, brothers-in-law, Trent Phibbs, and Ron Moore. Helen’s heart always belonged to Wyoming – she spent her married life and raised her loving family.
Helen’s family would like to make a special thank you to Dr. Crombeen, Kelly, Carley and Amanda and the entire palliative care team for their kind and compassionate support. Also, to their extended family and friends who took the time to visit mom when she was sick to brighten her day.
A celebration of Helen’s life will take place on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 1:00 -4:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Lions Hall 554 Main St. Wyoming. A private interment will take place in Wyoming Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Sarnia and District Humane Society or the CEE Hospital Foundation for Continuing Care.
