Loved by so many amazing extended family and friends.

Pre deceased by son Jesse McClounie Mitchell (1991)
Mother-in-law Dorothy McClounie (2011)

Jim travelled all over Canada as a NDT/ UT2 technician since 1971.
His last working years were spent in Alberta, where he was known as “Poppy” by many. He created and nurtured meaningful relationships with co-workers/ friends that he cherished deeply.

If you knew Jim you knew you were lucky enough to meet a man who was beyond dedicated to his family. He was steadfast, loaded with an enviable and incredible work ethic and a sense of humour that would knock your socks off.

What brought Jim joy was spending time with the people he loved.
From the annual family cottage in Grand Bend, backyard fires and bbq’ing hot dogs with Bill & Dawn to his birthday celebration every year that always ended with the famous water balloon fight with the grandkids.

The greatest of all joys was his time with Beth Ann.
Whether it was a (slow) drive & picnic by the river, a day trip to see a play/show or a music festival in the park they were together and they were happy.

We are all better humans because we were in your orbit Jim
