Suddenly at home on Sunday, January 14, 2024, Royce James Minielly of Forest, formerly of Birnam Line, Warwick township, at the age of 77.

Dearly loved Dad of Steve (Rosanne), Ian (Shayne), Stacey, Eric (Elyssa).

Loving grandpa Royce of Kyle (Mary) Gilliard, Sara (Derek) Lichty and Kurtis Minielly, Hayden, Noah, and Grace Minielly, Zoey Minielly and Ethan, Austin and Rorey Fuller, Briar, Aubryn and Rucker Minielly.

Dear Great grandpa of Bennett and Adele Lichty and Lucy Gilliard, and Jasper Humes.

Royce was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Marilyn (Ellerker) Minielly.

Dear friend and travel companion of Nancy Boris.

Royce was born and raised in Warwick township, the son of Bert and Lillie (Mills) Minielly.  He was one of six children.  Predeceased by brother Ross and his wife Caroline, Allan, Wayne and Ivan.  Survived by siblings Clare (Jane) Minielly and Elaine (Lefty) Morgan and sisters-in-law Betty, Carolyn and Florrie Minielly, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Royce began his career as a mechanic for Graham Ford in Watford before becoming the parts-man and mechanic at Arkona Machine Shop.  Through the years, his mechanical knowledge has been invaluable to his family.  Royce drove a snowplow for the roads departments for more than 20 years.  He also ran his own general carpentry business and farmed until the age of 70.  He continued to help on the farm until his passing.  He embraced technology (with a gentle shove) and was quick and proud to learn everything necessary to keep his position as Steve's #1 Farm Hand.

Royce will be missed by all who had the privilege to hear his stories.  He never failed to remember everyone on their birthday with a text or a phone call.  You could count on it!

As we reflect on the life of Royce, we, his family, along with our community, his friends and his partner can be certain of one thing... his love for people and his booming laughter will never be forgotten.

Friends are welcome to a visitation in honor of Royce on Friday January 19th, 2024, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Denning's of Forest.  Funeral service will take place on Saturday at the funeral home at 11am.  Interment to follow at Warwick Cemetery, and a reception back at the Forest Legion.

If so desired, donations to the Forest Kineto-Kiwanis Theatre, where Royce and Marilyn had their first date, would be graciously appreciated.
