Garnett Lee Milliken, a member of Kettle Point First Nation and the community of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away peacefully in Wallaceburg on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at the age of 74. Garnet was the son of the late Grant & Thelma (Henry) Milliken. Beloved husband of Patsy (Lallean). Loving father of Melissa Milliken-Myatt (Ben) and grandfather of Sterling and Grant Myatt. Brother of Ann, Barry (Debbie), Tom (Fran), Lynn (William), Mark (Kim) Renee Hopper (Gary), Andrea (Chris) and the late Larry Milliken (Carol). Garnett was a runner who loved baseball, fishing and his Toronto Maple Leafs. He crafted smoking pipes, walking sticks and canes and some beadwork.


Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Sunday, July 14 from 2-4 PM for family and 5-8 PM for community with the wake service to begin at 7 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre, 156 Dan Shab Road, on Monday, July 15 at 1 PM. Cremation to follow.
