Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Robert Alan McNickle went to be with his Lord and Savior, at the age of 59. Dear brother of Patricia Joseph (the late Allan Sr.), Gary L. McNickle, and Steven L. McNickle, and Jeffrey A. McNickle. Predeceased by his parents Harvey T. Jr. and (Beulah) Leila McNickle, and his grandparents Herbert (Leonard) and Iris Plain (Oliver). He will be missed by several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. Rob loved the Lord. His beliefs and upbringing were Pentecostal, he had a very peaceful demeanor and never got angry. He had a great passion for music of all kinds and would remember in great detail the specifics of the artists and bands. Rob had a great sense of humor and will be remembered for his joking nature. Above all else, Rob loved his family and will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. A funeral service will be held at Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre, 1972 Virgil Ave., Sarnia, on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow in Aamjiwnaang Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Southwest Centre for Forensic Mental Health Care (cheques only at the funeral home please).
