The family is sad to announce that Huguette (nee Champagne) passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the age of 83, after a very brave and courageous cancer battle, leaving behind her husband of 61 years, Neil.
Loving mother of Kimberley (Dan) Myers, Paul (Jennifer), Lisa (Ian) MacKenzie and Michael (Stacie). Cherished grandmother of 9, Jacqueline (Allana), Daniel (Ninnea), Sarah, Dalton, Matthew, Jessica (Devon), Morgan, Ethan, and Preston. Treasured great-grandmother of 2, Mikaela and Harper. Huguette is survived by her three sisters, Theresa McBryan, Jacqueline Rutter, and Frances Poland, her sisters-in-law, Isabel (Robert) Smith, Ruth (Jim) Thompson, and her brother-in-law John (Joan). She will be missed by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Adrien and Claire, her infant sister Louise, her brother Andre, her sister-in-law Vera, her brothers-in-law Wilson “Tim” McBryan, John Rutter, Ken Poland, her niece Karen and nephew Richard. The family would like to thank Dr. Yoshida, Dr. Crombeen, and Dr. MacSweeney. Special thank you goes to the very dedicated staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice or to a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
