It is with heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Wayne McEwen on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. Wayne passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Linda McEwen. Loving father of Colleen (Glenn), Lesley (Jeremy), Margaret (Todd), and John (Chrissy).
Cherished grandfather of Kayla, late Thomas John (TJ), Skylar, Brookeashley, Chase, Charley, Wesley, Lucas, and Bradley. Treasured great-grandfather of Imogen and Jack. Dear brother of Janice Robins, Brian, Leslie, and Lorne McEwen. Predeceased by his parents Clarence and Vera McEwen, sisters Marie MacIntyre and Sheila, and mother-in-law Frances Ward.
Wayne was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed spending his afternoons with his Stokes family playing Trivia while watching sports and sharing banter. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and his dog Maggie. A private family interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.
