It is with saddened hearts that the family of Harvey Richard McEwan announces his passing at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the age of 75.
Beloved husband of Suzanne Elizabeth McEwan (Nee Percival) whom he has been lovingly married to for 44 years.
Loving Father of Harvey Patrick McEwan and Kenneth Richard McEwan.
Forever in the hearts of his extended family and friends across Canada and the United States.
Harvey had many Brother-in-Laws, Sister-in-Laws, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Predeceased by his parents Harvey Benjamin McEwan and Regina "Jean" McEwan (Nee Caughlin)
For over 32 years, Harvey worked as a Surveyor for the City of Sarnia. He especially enjoyed working with the public and helping others. Harvey had many hobbies over his lifetime, but he particularly loved the outdoors and could frequently be found tending his garden.
A special thank you for the wonderful care, love and support from the entire team at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia during Harvey’s time with them. Harvey may be gone from this world; however, he lives on in the stories and memories he has left with all those he touched during his lifetime.
The McEwan family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who reached out with calls and messages and to those who visited Harvey during his illness.

In keeping with Harvey’s wishes Cremation has taken place.
A Funeral Service and Reception to Celebrate Harvey’s Life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 429 Indian Rd, Sarnia, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia and to Community Living Wallaceburg (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
