With heavy and yet hopeful hearts the family of Deborah McCaskill wishes to announce that she went home peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Debby is the beloved wife of Calum McCaskill of 44 special and cherished years. Loving and devoted mother to Alasdair, Logan (Amy), Micah (Tatjana), Malcolm, Brandon (Rachel), Stuart (Kelsey), Calum (Rachel) and Liam. Proud Gran to Alexa, Jack, Kinley, Oliver, Mason, Martin, Lillian, Cole, Theodore, Charlotte and Colter. Debby is survived by her seven siblings Bonny (Brian) Jacques, Randy (Brenda) Simpson, Barbara (Dan 2024) Millitt, Brenda (Glen) Fraser, Jeffery (Jean) Simpson, Sandra (George) Laird and John (Leah) Simpson. Debby will be deeply missed, but always remembered by her extended family, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Debby’s life will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice.
