It is with saddened hearts that the family announces the passing of Verda Maracle on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the age of 82. Loving mother of Jamie, the late Tim, and the late Cheryl, and step-mother of Rhonda and Tom. Cherished grandmother of Tasheena, Jason, Nicole, Taneesha, Clayton, Nick, Gabe, Chelsey, Jonas, Jacob, Tirah, Jaclyn, Hoby, Cody, Stonehorse, and the late Elijah, and great-grandmother of many. Ma and Grandma to Gerald and Dorothy Maness’ family. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James and Lovday Williams, and her siblings Francis, Calvert, Warren, Mickey, Bernice, Harley, and Florence. Family and friends will be received at the family house 1169 Chippewa Cres., Sarnia, anytime between Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held at Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre, 1972 Virgil Ave., Sarnia, on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hopsice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
