Manning, Marshall Edward
After a courageous battle, on Tuesday February 27, 2024, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 84. Marshall was the beloved husband of the late Reta (2013) for 52 years. He leaves behind his beloved three sons, Leon and Heather, David and Kim, and Kevin and Debbie. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Taylor), Kayla (Steven), Tyler (Elizabeth) and Kamron (Carissa), and great-grandfather of Breahna, Ryder, Ellie, Brooklynn, and Jacob. Survived by his brother-in-law Dick McIntyre. Predeceased by his siblings Grant Manning, Gloria McIntyre, and Linda Lewis. Marshall took a chance on a new career. Reta and himself moved to Sarnia in the fall of 1963 and started their lives together. Marshall was cherished and loved by many. Over the years he had many hobbies including hunting, motorcycling, car racing, flying, camping, and boating. As he aged, he loved winters in the south camping. The last number of years he enjoyed his midweek lunches with friends, his Friday morning breakfasts with friends, and his Saturday morning breakfasts with family. The Manning family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care staff at Bluewater Health for their compassionate care of Marshall. Cremation has taken place, and a Private Open House has taken place. Remembrances and condolences may by expressed to the family online in “Marshall’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
