Kenneth Anthony Madere, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 10, 2025, at the age of 70. Survived by wife Debbie Madere, his two sons and their families, Ken and Jodee Madere and Kris and Emma Madere as well as his granddaughter Madi who he called his Sweet Pea and was the light of his life. Ken is also survived by his siblings, Jack, Paul, Diane, Eugene, and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Ken was predeceased by his father and mother, Jacques and Violet, respectively as well as his brother Mike.

Ken held family very close to his heart and looked forward to the annual family BBQ every year. In his younger years with his sons, he enjoyed being very involved with their travel hockey teams, and their family trips which he would often look back on fondly. Prior to his retirement, Ken worked at Fibrex and then moved to Cabot as a Supervisor where he stayed until he retired. Ken loved travelling with his wife in his golden years, taking trips and cruises, he loved all the new people he met and made new friends easily with his big laugh and personality. When his granddaughter, Madi, was born she lit his world and he loved spending time with her doing anything, but they especially loved doing puzzles and crafts together. Ken loved being a proud father and grandfather and will be remembered and missed dearly by all his Loved ones.

A private celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
