Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Diane Love passed away at Bluewater Health on January 11, 2025. Diane was the cherished wife of Paul Love and a devoted and loving mother to Leslie (Burk) Peters and Jamie Maness. She was a caring stepmother to Tyler (Jade) Love and Casey (Joey) Andries. Diane’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a proud grandmother to Kaitlind (Mitch) Vonk, Lauren (Jason) Teschke, Andrew Peters, Dilan Peters, Madison Maness, Mackenzie Maness, McKinley Maness, Lily Love, Hudson Love, Cohen Love, Peyton Andries, and Jarett Andries, as well as an adoring great-grandmother to Noah Vonk and Bowen Teschke. Diane was the dear sister of Allen (Muriel) Plain, Terry (Donna) Plain, and Verna (Lynwood) Cottrelle, and treasured sister-in-law to Janis Paulley and Ken Love and their families. A beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Clifton and Marilyn Plain (nee Cottrelle). Diane will be forever remembered by her special friends, Ed and Caroline Smith, and Mike and Robin Wood, as well as by her extended family and friends. Diane touched the lives of everyone she met with her kindness, compassion and love. Her strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew her. Diane’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. The family extends their gratitude to the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health and the Baker Centre in London, Ontario, for their exceptional care and support. A heartfelt thank you is also extended to Dr. Crombeen. In keeping with Diane’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or the Aamjiwnaang Food Bank (cheques only at the funeral home please).
