Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Joan Gertrude Legere passed away at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Omar Legere of 65 years. Loving mother of Suzanne (Andrew) Shepard, Mary (Michael) Hudson and Brian (Jody) Legere. Cherished grandmother of the late Stephen (2023) (Cheryl) Starr, Christina Starr, Donald (Brenda) Hudson, Michelle (Frank) White and Brooke (Derek) Wiens. Treasured great-grandmother to 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Joan will be dearly missed by her special friend Grant Jones, many nieces and nephews and all her extended family. Predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters. Joan and Omar had the most amazing relationship, one that always felt like true love. They loved playing tennis together in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. We would like to extend a special thank you to Trillium Villa Nursing Home, especially over the last few weeks, for the exceptional care they took of Joan. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to MS Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
