Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Chi Hang Lee passed away at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Teresa Lee for 50 years. Loving father of Owen (Jaime) Lee and Terry (Jennifer) Lee. Cherished YeYe of Taryn (DJ) Sapone, Addyson Lee, Aly Lee, and Nolan Lee, and a great-grandson due in December. Treasured brother of Chi-ho of Hong Kong, Chi-kong of Australia, Chi-wing of Hong Kong, Chi-tuen of Hong Kong, and Chi-ngai of Hong Kong. Chi Hang displayed a hard work ethic all through his profession as a Mechanical Engineer, starting his career as Project Engineer at Fiberglas Canada in Edmonton then Sarnia for many years. He finished his career working in China as the Plant Manager for International Flavors & Fragrances. Chi Hang was musically talented and had a love and passion for playing the guitar. He found great joy and satisfaction from tuning and fixing his guitars, maintaining his collection- which included a guitar he built himself in high school, and performing for crowds in long term care and retirement homes. His favourite songs to sing were Elvis Presley and he would often receive compliments that he sounded just like him. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He could always be found in the arena supporting his sons in travel hockey and later his grandchildren in all sports and in dance. We will remember him as a man of few words, being certain to listen when he would share his wisdom. He was kind, humble, calm, and logical, a presence we won’t soon forget. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health- Palliative Care (cheques only at the funeral home please).
