We announce with great sadness the loss of our mother Ruth Ann (Diebold) Langford, age 71, on Wednesday July 3, 2024, at 9pm.

Lovingly remembered and cherished by daughter Darlene Marie (Langford) Black and husband Stan of Sarnia and son William David Patrick Langford and wife Sheri of Wyoming. Loving Nana of Jorden, Connor and Sarah Black, Gage (Katherine) and Ethan Langford. Dear sister of William Diebold and wife Doris of Ilderton, David Diebold and wife Carole of London, Daniel Diebold of Elliott Lake. Awesome Aunt of Jim (Sondra) Diebold and Rob (Michelle) Diebold. Predeceased by loving husband George (Red) Langford, mother Kathleen Ann (Diebold) Morton and Father James Diebold. Ruth will be sadly missed by good friends, Jeanne, Rod (Cindy) Bonnie, Elaine and her ‘boys’ Drew and Andrew, not to mention countless others.

Ruth was a member of St. Stephens Church in Courtright ON, where she served on the ACW women’s league, greeter and side person. Ruth also served on the board of management, warden, deputy warden and treasurer. She did charity modeling for Pennington’s Super Store. Ruth founded the TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) #ON3336 group in Point Edward in 1981 and remained a member holding many executive positions over the years.

A world of thanks to Dr Crombeen and Bluewater Health palliative care nurses Chris, Cheryl, McCauley and Kennedy as well as the nurses and personal support workers at St Joseph’s Hospice. Special recognition to Dianne, Pam, Lauren and Sherryl who helped us keep peaceful through the last hours.

Cremation has already taken place and details for a Celebration of Life to be announced later.

Donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to St Joseph’s hospice, Bluewater Health Palliative Care or charity of your choice.
