With sadness the family announces the passing of David William Kirwan, age 84 of Wyoming on Monday, December 16, 2002. He was the loving husband of Sylvia (Williams) Kirwan and dear father of Darren Kirwan and his wife Darlene of Brigden, grandfather of Sean Kirwan and his wife of Sarnia and Ryan Kirwan of Brigden and brother of Peggy Alston of England. He is also survived by a nephew Steven Williams and his wife Dianne of Camlachie. David was born in Norwich, England and was predeceased by his parents Michael and Phyllis, his son Lee and his brothers Michael, Phillip and John. David retired after many years of service from Lambton College where he taught Instrumentation. 

David William Kirwan, affectionately known as "Tich," was born on April 30, 1940, in Norwich, England. He passed away on December 16, 2024, leaving behind a rich legacy of passion and spirit that touched the lives of many.

From his early days in Norwich, David's zest for life was evident. He cultivated a deep love for golfing, spending countless hours on the lush greens, where he embraced the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it fostered among friends and fellow enthusiasts. His passion extended beyond the fairways; he was an ardent admirer of Formula 1 racing, where the excitement of speed and competition resonated with him. David’s enthusiasm for these interests not only brought him joy but also created lasting memories with those who shared these pursuits by his side.

Throughout his life, David embodied resilience and warmth, traits that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness and genuine nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of family, friends, and acquaintances alike.

As we remember David William Kirwan, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by vibrant interests and a dedication to enjoying the moments that truly mattered. His impact on those around him will not be forgotten, and his spirit will continue to resonate in the stories, laughter, and shared experiences of all who loved him.
