Kershaw, Robert "Bob" Leigh - Peacefully, with family by his side, Bob passed away at Bluewater Health, on August 28, in his 71st year.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Lorrie (nee Van Der Grinten), and his legacy will live on through his sons Robert Randall, and Douglas Allen (Corinne), and his many grandchildren - Dalton, Owen, Liam, Jaxsyn, Preston, Boden, and Kinley. The eldest son to the late Harry and Joan (nee Smith), he leaves behind three siblings - Rick (Carol), Mike (Terri), and JoAnne. He will also be deeply missed by his large extended family, and many friends.

Born on August 5 in 1953, Bob lived a life full of love and laughter. He was well-known for being a Jack-of-all-trades, who excelled in any skill he tried his hand at. He will be fondly remembered for his incredible laugh, his massive bear hugs, his appreciation towards a good meal or dessert, his generosity, and his unwavering commitment to family and friends.

Bob was able to accomplish the goals he set out as a young man - building his dream cottage up north for retirement, boat ownership, and a home in the sunny south to escape the cold, Canadian winters. His last 14 winters were spent in his favourite place: Victoria Palms, in Donna, Texas, where he could be found in the shop, woodworking with friends.

Never one to turn down a game of cards, many wonderful memories and laughs have been made over the years with family and friends around tables of various sizes. Bob will be remembered for his humour, and his desire to make people smile. He would often joke, "I'm not fat, I'm just easy to see."

The family wish to thank Dr. Springer and Dr. MacSweeney, for their efforts making Bob's last few weeks as comfortable as possible. Cremation has taken place. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph's Hospice in Sarnia.
