Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Bluewater Health, Jean Jenkins passed away at the age of 81. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Vincent Jenkins. Loving mother of Sharon (Fred) Jolly, Angela (Mark) Sorg, and Heather (Michael) Huard, and the late Raymond (Julie) Jenkins. Cherished grandmother of Colin (Samantha), Chad (Jenny), and Christopher (Shelley) Jolly, Nicholas (Anna) and Lauren (Owen Skipper Horton) Sorg, Amberley (Rob) Taylor and Adam (Laura) Jenkins, Peyton and Lachlan Huard. Dear sister of Moira, Harriet (Jim), George, and sister-in-law of Irene (the late Sonny). Treasured great grandmother of Charlie, Ava, Rory, Max, Ryan, and Isla. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Scotland. Predeceased by her parents John and Jane Smith, her father-in-law Raymond and mother-in-law Margaret, her brothers Archie, John, and Charles, and sister-in-law Jean (Jim) Kennedy.
Jean was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved to spend time with her family. She never missed any of her kids or grandkids sporting events, and she was always their number one fan. Jean had a passion for playing BINGO and could often be found at the BINGO hall. She had a generous spirit and was always thinking about others.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jean’s life will take place at the Sarnia Riding Club, 980 Riding Club Ln, Sarnia, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with words of tribute to be shared at 6:15 p.m.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bluewater Health Palliative or St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
